WALT: Write a recount using simple, compound and complex sentences
My activity was to write my holiday recount. I did well to use some simple and compound sentences. Next time I will try to use complex sentences.
On the holidays I went with my family on Saturday morning. I played with my sister and brother. When it got a little dark, we went to the lake. We had to cross three farms to get to it, then after we had a wash and we went to bed.
On Sunday it was the wedding day so we ran to the lake again. Then we raced back to the tent and we got into our pretty clothes and everyone got ready for the wedding. We sat down and waited, then my aunty Kirsty came down the aisle. After that, we ate heaps of food.
